Allegro DVT Reconfirms Industry Leadership in Compliance Streams, Extends its HEVC Test Suites with New MV-HEVC and HEVC-SCC Streams
AUSTIN, Texas — Allegro DVT, the leading provider of video codec compliance test suites and hardware video IPs, announces that it has taken more than 100 orders for its HEVC test streams. This achievement comes as a clear recognition of the company’s extensive expertise and leadership in audio/video compliance test suite.
Proving its continuous commitment to delivering compliance test suites for all video codecs, Allegro DVT also extended its HEVC test suites and unveiled new MV-HEVC and HEVC-SCC test streams which can now be used by manufacturers developing HEVC compliant decoders to validate the conformance of their implementation with these latest extensions of the HEVC standard.
The Multiview extension of HEVC (a.k.a. MV-HEVC) is an extension profile of HEVC which provides means to efficiently encode content with multiple camera views to allow new stereoscopic video applications. Allegro DVT’s MV-HEVC streams cover resolutions up Level 6.1 and comprise test sets to check multiple syntax elements of MV-HEVC.
HEVC Screen Content Coding (a.k.a. HEVC-SCC) extensions improve compression efficiency for non-camera-captured video with significant graphics, text or animation content. It can be used in applications such as wireless display and screen sharing.
Pierre Marty, CEO of Allegro DVT, commented: “With the release of MV-HEVC and HEVC-SCC streams, Allegro DVT is now able to provide the industry’s most comprehensive test suite for HEVC including all extensions. Once again; we are reconfirming our market leadership in audio/video test streams with the industry’s largest product folio that covers H.264, HEVC, VP9 and AVS2 technologies.”
