According to a report from IAA TelecomDaily, the number of pay TV subscribers in Russia passed the 40 million mark in the second quarter of 2016. Subscribers have increased by 740 thousand in the first half of the year.
One of the main trends of recent months is a slow down in the rate of subscriber growth for the satellite segment. Despite this, Tricolor TV added 40,000 in the second quarter and Orion Express added 38,000 to end with 11.91 million and 2.877 million subscribers respectively.
