iWedia and HiSilicon Detail That Their Common Works on Android Are Based on AOSP
LAUSANNE, Switzerland — iWedia, a leading provider of software solutions for TV devices, and HiSilicon, the worldwide leading provider of silicon solutions for digital home, communications and wireless terminals, today clarified that the recently announced common integration works on Android is a Proof of Concept which is based on Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and not Android TV.
The Teatro-3.5 STB software solution from iWedia has been ported on top of Hi3798MV200, the latest UHD STB chipset from HiSilicon, within the AOSP Nougat environment. At present none of the HiSilicon STB chipsets, including the Hi3798MV200, have been certified by Google.
