Swedish TV operator Sappa launches new service on Magine’s streaming platform
STOCKHOLM — Sappa becomes Magine’s first Swedish b2b customer to take advantage of Magine’s complete end-to-end solution as they launch a TV Everywhere service for the households in Sappa’s broadband and TV networks.
Swedish broadband and TV provider Sappa launches the first TV Everywhere service on Magine’s platform in their home market Sweden. Sappa partnered with Magine, who provide end-to-end managed services and solutions on a global scale, to create a TV Everywhere service that addresses the multiplatform needs of their existing customer base in Sweden.
“In line with new TV viewing behaviour, we as a company must adapt our customer offerings with a good TV offer for mobile screens,” says Hasse Svensson, CEO at Sappa. “We have evaluated several solutions on the market and finally chosen Magine’s overall solution that will give our customers a great user experience. The implementation of the new service has really gone smoothly, and we can now launch a complete streaming service to our customers even before the summer.”
Magine has run its own consumer streaming services for TV and film since 2013 and over the past year has also established itself as an OTT service provider for television companies and telecom operators worldwide. Their modular platform can efficiently deliver streaming solutions worldwide for all types of business models. Among the assignments are add-on services to traditional pay-TV operators as well as VOD services and new online concepts.
“We are really pleased to have Sappa as a client,” says Rahul Puri, responsible for Magine Digital Media. “Sappa has a clear customer focus and has an exciting and appealing customer offering. We are convinced that the new streamed TV service we have built for Sappa on the Magine platform will further strengthen their customer relations.”
