Amino certifies ARIA devices with Minerva 10 Advanced Pay TV Platform

Amino, the IP/Cloud video software and device specialist, today announces that its Aria 6 hybrid TV device has been certified for Minerva 10 – Minerva’s advanced Pay TV service management platform.

Minerva and Amino have partnered on hundreds of operator deployments globally with their combined solution representing the most-deployed IPTV ecosystem in the industry. Currently, the two companies are actively working with a number of operators to roll out next-generation entertainment services.

The Minerva 10 platform features a complete set of television applications including electronic programme guide (EPG), device- and network-based DVR, Whole-home DVR, Catch-up TV, Pause Live TV and Restart TV. In addition, it provides access to a range of pay-per-view, video-on-demand (VoD) and SVOD services and seamlessly integrates over-the-top (OTT) video sources via a personalised and intuitive interface.

The Aria 6 is the latest in a long line of Amino devices to achieve Minerva certification. A high-performance hybrid HEVC client device with tuner options, Aria 6 delivers a seamless user experience that blends live and OTT services. It is powered by a 6K DMIPs processor, with up to 1GB of on-board memory to provide flexible options for cost-effectively delivering hybrid IPTV/OTT services across a range of IP and broadcast networks.

Amino CTO Mark Evensen said: “This latest certification extends the most deployed IPTV ecosystem in the world – and underlines our long and successful partnership in delivering high quality solutions to the pay-TV market. Both the Aria and Minerva 10 are in lock-step in enabling operators to offer leading-edge services that combine the best in whole home delivery with powerful new TV 2.0 experiences for consumers.”

Minerva’s VP Marketing Matt Cuson added: “Minerva is excited to be able to offer the Aria 6 to our customers. Cable and IPTV operators will benefit from the long history Amino and Minerva have in jointly delivering high quality, high performance TV experiences.”
