Forthnet owners negotiating its sale to United Group

Regarding recent publications in the printed and electronic Press, “HELLENIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND TELEMATIC APPLICATIONS S.A.” (hereinafter “the Company”) informs that the Banks’ advisor, Nomura International plc. notified the Company of the commencement of exclusive negotiations with United Group on the proposal (hereinafter referred to as “the Proposal”) that the latter has submitted to the Banks NBG, Alpha, Piraeus and Attica Bank (hereinafter “the Banks”) regarding their exposures in the Company and its subsidiary Forthnet Media S.A., aiming at the execution of the contractual documents for the transaction.
It is clarified that the Company is not aware of the content and the terms of the Proposal, as well as that the negotiations process lies within the discretion of the Banks, without any involvement of the Company in it. The Company will inform the investing public of any developments regarding the outcome of the negotiations, through further announcements, when and to the extent it receives further information by the Banks.
The present announcement takes place, following a request of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC), in accordance with resolution 5/204/2000 of the HCMC’s Board of Directors, as in force, and art. 17 par. 1 of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014.
