CAMBRIDGE, UK and LINKÖPING, Sweden — Amino, the global media and entertainment technology solutions provider, and Agama, the leading solutions provider of real-time observability and analytics for video service quality and customer experience, announced today that the Amino Operator Ready Android TV solution has been integrated with the Agama Client Device Monitoring (CDM) for operators that want Android TV core capabilities, but with comprehensive device lifecycle management and real-time insights on service quality and viewer experience.
GO Malta, Malta’s leading communications services company, has already benefited from the integration with Operator Tier certifications that allow for additional user interface (UI) and back-office customization for more control over the user experience (UX).
Amino’s Operator Ready Android TV is powered by AminoOS, a SaaS platform for centralized device management, and enhanced by Amino Engage, a cloud-based service management solution that efficiently manages and proactively supports deployed Android TV. The solution is compatible with the Amino Amigo 7X device, an Android TV Operator Tier certified Ultra-HD client TV device, with tuner options, delivering exciting OTT content with an exceptional user experience.
“One of our main product development objectives is to reduce the complexity of operator service deployments through proven integrations and managed services,” said Amino CEO Donald McGarva. “Partner integrations like this one with Agama help customers efficiently operate and improve their video services, while simplifying the deployment and management of the increasingly popular Android TV platform. It is satisfying to see our customers continue to innovate and thrive in their markets.”
For example, GO Malta can easily control the UI and customize the UX through the Engage managed service that reduces OPEX and enhances customer satisfaction.
Agama’s video observability solution provides an end-to-end QoE service and customer experience visibility for each and every subscriber. The solution enables real-time understanding and insights of the entire video delivery chain, from the head-end to the viewer consuming the video.
“We are happy to contribute to the success of our customers by providing a video observability solution that helps operators manage their video delivery services as well as providing insights on customer experience,” said Johan Görsjö, Product & Engineering Director at Agama Technologies. “Our integration with Amino has been very smooth and we hope to continue our long-standing collaboration and offer other providers a powerful solution mix for their business.”
