Witbe to unveil automated testing for short-form videos at MWC 2023
Wednesday, February 15th, 2023Witbe to Unveil Automated Testing Technology for Short-Form Videos at MWC Barcelona 2023
At MWC Barcelona 2023, Witbe will showcase its powerful technology for automated testing and proactive monitoring, including its new advancements in short-form video testing, its complete lineup of Witbox products, and more. In Barcelona, Witbe will highlight how its technology allows streaming video companies and mobile network providers to measure and improve the quality of experience (QoE) that their customers receive — both at home and on the go.
“We are delighted to be back on the show floor at MWC in Barcelona this year,” said Mathieu Planche, CEO of Witbe. “The MWC show is always on the cutting edge of mobile technology, and Witbe is excited to be breaking new ground here — demonstrating at our booth how our proven, automated testing and proactive monitoring technology can help measure true QoE on mobile devices.”
During the show, Witbe will highlight its new, completely integrated technology for testing the QoE of short-form videos, including common KPIs such as availability, buffering time, and video quality. Featured in social media apps like TikTok and Instagram, and recently integrated into YouTube, short-form videos are extremely popular with mobile users. Unlike traditional streaming, they allow for seamless scrolling from video to video. Evaluating true QoE while browsing short-form videos is complicated because performance is uniquely dependent on network settings.
Witbe’s new automated testing technology marks a significant breakthrough in measuring QoE for short-form videos and runs on the same real, physical devices and local networks that consumers use every day. This will help video service providers and mobile network operators achieve a superior performance in the delivery of short-form video content as they look to provide a better service and increase user retention.
Additional Witbe Highlights at MWC Barcelona 2023 Will Include:
The Official Witbe Companion App
At MWC Barcelona 2023, Witbe will showcase Lyra, the company’s new mobile app. Lyra was designed as the perfect companion mobile app for Smartgate, Witbe’s application that sends alerts whenever live video service gets interrupted or dips in quality. With Lyra, video service providers can receive iOS push notifications whenever an alert occurs, allowing them to verify and escalate the service issue before customers even notice. The app also delivers a widget that can prominently display the current status of any KPI being measured from the user’s testing devices.
Access the REC On Mobile
Witbe’s Remote Eye Controller (REC) software application enables teams to access and control their test devices from anywhere in the world. At MWC Barcelona 2023, Witbe will highlight the recently updated REC, which is accessible on any modern web browser, including on mobile devices and tablets. The web-based REC update allows video service providers to access their testing devices at any time, while adding improved latency, a stronger search, and native full-screen and picture-in-picture modes on mobile.
The Complete Witbox Testing Family
Witbe’s Witbox family of devices packs the company’s automated testing and monitoring technology into a compact, accessible package that is simple to set up. The complete lineup of Witbox products will be on display at MWC Barcelona 2023, including the signature WitboxOne for video streaming testing, the powerful Witbox+ for large team scalability, and the focused WitboxNet for web testing.
Witbe Cloud Product Options
Witbe will present its lineup of Witbe Cloud products at MWC Barcelona 2023. Witbe Cloud delivers all the power users expect from Witbe’s technology without the need for extra counter or rack space. With Witbe Cloud Devices, companies enjoy dedicated, secure remote access to any physical testing device deployed wherever needed. With Witbe Cloud OnDemand, users can rent access to the same robust testing and monitoring technology for short periods of time.
