Triveni Digital Optimizes the Broadcasting of NEXTGEN TV With New ATSC 3.0 Translator

PRINCETON, N.J. — Triveni Digital today announced that the company has introduced a new ATSC 3.0 Translator that reduces the cost of ATSC 3.0 service delivery. Leveraging the ATSC 3.0 Translator, broadcasters can efficiently repeat or translate their existing ATSC 3.0 signal to other areas without the need for an entire broadcast chain, minimizing costs, equipment, and power. In addition, the ATSC 3.0 Translator includes an optional feature for NEXTGEN TV signing, helping broadcasters quickly expand the reach of ATSC 3.0 services.

“Being able to rapidly launch NEXTGEN TV services is critical for broadcasters, and the ATSC 3.0 Translator is a game changer in that respect,” said Ralph Bachofen, vice president of sales and marketing at Triveni Digital. “Our new ATSC 3.0 Translator eliminates the need for a full-blown broadcast chain for ATSC 3.0 redistribution, reducing the time to market for NEXTGEN TV services and minimizing capex and opex for broadcasters.”

The ATSC 3.0 Translator validates ATSC 3.0 signals in real time down to the frame structure, offering support for multiple physical layer pipes. Using the innovative solution, broadcasters can perform ATSC 3.0 network troubleshooting and postmortem analysis with log and trend files to improve NEXTGEN TV experiences for viewers.

The solution is ideal for both public state-wide networks and private cloud-based environments. The ATSC 3.0 Translator is also perfect for business channels using SRT distribution, signal capturing for manufacturing, signal monitoring for automobiles and remote areas, ATSC 3.0 retransmission, changing channel numbers for local broadcast stations, and more.

Triveni Digital will demonstrate the ATSC 3.0 Translator at the 2023 NAB Show, April 16-19, in Las Vegas at booth W3251.
