Lattelecom wins DTT tender in Latvia

The Latvian Ministry of Transport has announced the winner of the tender for the implementation of digital terrestrial television transmission in Latvia.
The winner is Lattelecom Ltd. Other bidders were: DauTKom TV, Latvijas Valsts radio un televīzijas centrs (LVRTC), Televideotīkls, Baltkom TV and TDF.
The companies submitted bids to support the transition from analogue to digital terrestrial television by December 1st, 2011; with the contract running on to the end of December 2013.
