Spain - January DTT monthly update released

According to Impulsa-TDT, DTT coverage in Spain increased further to reach over 90% at the close of 2008, which means that broadcasters are fulfilling their commitments with regard to the “Phase IV” roll out.

The month of November saw the sale of DTT equipment keeping pace with previous increases and the cumulative figure for tuners sold by this date was 14.2 million units, reaching a total of some 15 million units at the end of 2008 (closing figures still pending).

Equipment with built-in DTT, especially TVs, achieved some of the highest sales figures of the year in November.
