AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands — Irdeto, a leading expert in content and business model protection solutions and services, today announced that it has signed an agreement with ZTE Corporation to secure rich media content delivery using its OMA DRM client solutions.
ZTE, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, will deploy OMA DRM as part of its global business expansion of its brand and client products. OMA DRM’s ease of integration and support of content delivery enables ZTE to successfully implement Irdeto’s solution across a wide-range of markets, providing benefit to more than 500 of ZTE’s telecom operator partners.
“As data services are forming a greater proportion of the overall income in the rapidly expanding mobile communications market, we are delighted to partner with Irdeto to drive the adoption of mobile broadcasting and uptake of mobile multimedia services through the deployment of strong content security technology to ensure the success of our business,” said Mr. Lin Qiang, GM of Smartphone Product, ZTE. “Irdeto has a strong, proven record in providing conditional access (CA) and DRM solutions for the mobile market and has stayed ahead of the competition by offering the best suite of DRM solutions to deliver mobile multimedia services to consumers on the go,” added Mr. Lin Qiang.
