Chunghwa Telecom Reports Operating Results for Full Year 2008

TAIPEI, Taiwan, R.O.C. — Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd (TAIEX: 2412, NYSE: CHT) (“Chunghwa” or “the Company”), today reported its operating results for full year 2008. All figures are presented on consolidated basis and prepared in accordance with ROC GAAP.
Internet and Data Services
As of the end of 2008, Chunghwa had 676 thousand Multimedia-On-Demand (MOD) subscribers, a solid 71.4% year-over-year increase.
