Vimpelcom launches Beeline IPTV in Russia

MOSCOW, Russia — Vimpelcom (NYSE:VIP), owner of the Beeline brand, has commercially launched its ‘Beeline TV’ IPTV service in Russia. The service is based on the Microsoft Mediaroom (Nasdaq: MSFT) platform.
The service consists of a basic package of 100 channels including 3 high-definition (HD) channels and an advanced package of 125 channels including 4 in HD. A personal video recorder (PVR) is available as an option.
