CMMB to be partnered exclusively with TD-SCDMA

China’s State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) has said that China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting (CMMB) will be partnered exclusively with TD-SCDMA, China’s 3G standard, for the next 3-4 years, giving China Mobile (NYSE:CHL, Hong Kong:941) a head start as it is the only operator that supports TD-SCDMA.
