Two European operators select Espial for multiscreen services
Tuesday, April 15th, 2014OTTAWA — Espial, a leader in on-demand TV software and solutions, today announced that two of its existing European Pay TV operator customers, Vodafone in Iceland and Tele2 in the Netherlands, have selected Espial to power their multiscreen services on Tablets, Smartphones and PCs.
Espial provides high performance and scalable platforms to power multiscreen services. These products include the Espial Media Service Platform (MSP), a proven and powerful multiscreen video service delivery system, as well as the Espial MediaBase HTTP streaming and recording platform. These products power a range of multiscreen services including Live TV, Video on demand, Timeshift TV and Network PVR.
The Espial multi-screen solution enables a seamless user experience across set-top boxes, tablets, smart phones and PCs with place shifting services like pause and resume across devices, remote control services like managing or watching your PVR recordings and ‘swipe to’ or ‘play to’ services to discover content on one device and watch on another.
