AXTEL awarded licence to provide pay TV in Mexico

SAN PEDRO GARZA GARCÃA, México — AXTEL, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV: AXTELCPO; OTC: AXTLY), the Mexican telecommunications company, today announced that the Ministry of Communications and Transport (Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes) has granted it a concession to provide pay TV services or satellite television in Mexico.
AXTEL plans to offer bundled services of voice, data and video ( “triple-play”) in early 2010.
