Mid Europa Partners Adds ITV Bulgaria to its SEE Pay TV Platform
Friday, October 9th, 2009Mid Europa Partners announces that the acquisition of the Bulgarian direct-to-home satellite pay TV operator Interaktivni Tehnologii AD (“ITV”) has been completed. ITV provides pay TV service to approximately 80 thousand subscribers in Sofia and across the country.
Stefan Tzvetkov, Associate Director of Mid Europa, who led the transaction, said: “The acquisition of ITV secures a foothold in the Bulgarian pay TV market and is a follow-on acquisition that builds on our already established pay TV footprint (including cable and DTH operators) across South Eastern Europe, which is in line with our investment strategy”.
Dragan Solak, Chairman of the Mid Europa backed group of SEE pay TV companies including Telemach, Total TV and SBB, said: “ITV provides a growth platform in the dynamic Bulgarian pay TV market and we look forward to supporting the business in order to optimize its operations and further augment its market position as well as derive further operating synergies on group wide pan-regional basis”.
The transaction was executed by Stefan Tzvetkov and Andrej Babace of Mid Europa.
