France: CSA sets HD DTT timetable

France’s Conseil supérieur de l’audiovisuel (CSA) has set a new timetable for the deployment of digital terrestrial television in high definition on multiplex R5, covering services from TF1 HD, France 2 HD et M6 HD.
The R5 multiplex will be deployed region-by-region, synchronised with the switch-off of the analogue service, to give about 90% coverage of the population by November 30, 2011 and 95% by the end of Q1 2012.
