Malta pay TV subscriptions up 6.6k in 4Q09

Malta’s National Statistics Office (NSO) has published Post and Telecommunications numbers for the fourth quarter of 2009.

Pay TV subscription index increased by 5.0 per cent when compared to 2008. Analogue and digital television subscriptions were recorded at 97.9 per cent of households. Digital subscriptions amounted to 79.4 per cent of the overall subscriptions, an increase of 31.4 per cent with respect to 2008. This increase was accompanied by another significant drop of 40.8 per cent in analogue TV subscriptions.
