Monday, March 13th, 2023Zattoo wins Epic Malta, underlining European ambition
Zattoo, one of Europe’s leading TV-as-a-Service platforms, launched the first TV service offering of Epic Malta, the country’s leading mobile communication provider. This further earmarks both Zattoo’s international expansion and Epic Malta’s ambition to become a multi-service customer-centric provider in similar launches implemented in other European markets with Zattoo’s award-winning solution. The company’s customers will be able to access 39 TV channels, including 11 specifically for the Maltese market via Android Mobile, IoS, tvOS, Web, and Strong Leap S1.
Using the Zattoo TV Platform, Epic Malta introduces its first TV service to subscribers on a platform set to continue growing its business and providing key elements of a carrier-grade TV experience, notably today in a market that has not seen the introduction of a new TV service in almost two decades.
With this move, Epic Malta now offers a set of white-label apps under its own successful brand in a multi-device environment, in which Zattoo will not only host and manage the new TV service but also make it available on mobile, web, and a customer-branded Strong TV set-top box.
In addition to offering more choices at better value for customers, Zattoo’s TV service includes add-on features such as replay, a seven-day catch-up, up to 100 hours of recording at no extra cost, and HD streaming. The service also comes with a simple user interface that is easy to access, use and watch, with channels grouped in categories, making the search for content as smooth and fast as possible.
“Our collaboration with Epic Malta is another milestone in expanding our TV-as-a-Service business across Europe with local operators and Internet service providers that see the strategic growth potential in a TV offering” says Jörg Meyer, Chief Commercial Officer at Zattoo. “Being given the opportunity to enable such a strong player around the cornerstone of subscriber experience that TV is today – and doing so from the start across such a wide range of services – proves our strategy around a long-established and successful white-label end-to-end offering.”
