Ziggo exceeds 1.5 million digital TV subscribers at end-2009
Friday, April 2nd, 2010Ziggo today announced its full year results for 2009. Revenue grew by 3.7% to EUR 1.2844 billion. The total number of subscriptions (RGUs) showed strong growth by 9% to 7.165 million and EBITDA rose by 2.8% to EUR 695.8 million. Operational cash flow rose 33% to EUR 434 million. The company was able to achieve solid growth and further strengthened its financial position.
During 2010, Ziggo will seek to expand its portfolio of products and services further, increase penetration of digital television and triple play bundles and raise internet speeds to 120 Mbps across its entire service area. The successful introduction of CI Plus (CI+) – an industry first – will also accelerate the transition of customers to digital television.
