Video Pioneer to Exhibit Widely-Deployed Telco Video Solutions, Demonstrate Next-Generation Technologies at Industry Conference

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — BigBand Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:BBND), will conduct a range of public and private demonstrations of solutions designed to allow telecommunications carriers to add advanced video services — including digital TV, IPTV and addressable advertising — at next week’s TelcoTV conference. BigBand’s public exhibit will take place in booth 531 Oct. 23 – Oct. 25 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, and private demonstrations will be conducted for customers in a separate suite.

BigBand plans to demonstrate delivery of digital television, local and addressable advertising and interactive video services capabilities over existing telco networks with its carrier-grade video networking platforms. These include an extensive suite of digital TV management functionality and modular, “pay as you grow” solutions with a history of field-demonstrated interoperability with third-party devices and solutions, including video-on-demand (VOD) servers, ad servers, conditional access systems, electronic programming guides and set-top boxes. BigBand’s platforms are among the most widely-deployed in their category, and support more than 200 video service providers and 50 million subscribers worldwide.

BigBand will also present in a panel on the final day of the conference. John Reister, BigBand’s Chief IPTV Architect, will discuss the revenue-generating capabilities of new advertising technologies in “Maximizing Advertising Opportunities,” scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 25 at 4:00 p.m. For additional information about BigBand Networks’ technologies, or to arrange a meeting at the conference, please email info@bigbandnet.com.
