Colombia ends 2010 with 3.5 million pay TV subscribers

Colombia’s Comisión Nacional de Televisión (CNTV) has published pay TV subscriber figures for the country for 2010. In the year both of Colombia’s satelllite TV operators, DIRECTV and Colombia Telecomunicaciones, increased their market share. The share of satellite subscriptions in the Pay TV market increased from 11.62% to 16.36%.

The total number of subscribers grew from 3.2 million at the end of 2009, to 3.5 million at the end of 2010.
