China cable TV to be all-digital by 2015
Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011China aims to move all of its cable television networks above the county level to digital by 2015. At the end of last year, there were 187 million cable TV subscribers in the country with only 88 million already digital.
The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) is also planning to set up a company to manage the consolidation of all of the nation’s separate cable television networks into a single operator.
