OBERHAUSEN, Germany — ACCESS CO., LTD., a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile, beyond-PC and digital TV markets, today announced its attendance at ANGA Cable 2011 (May 2-5, Cologne). The company will be showcasing its market-leading NetFront™ Browser DTV Profile HbbTV Edition and NetFront™ Living Connect 2.0 DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) Technology Component™ software solutions, in conjunction with five of its partners at the show including CreNova, Fortis, LOGIWAYS, S&T, and Vestel.

The NetFront technology series has been deployed in over a billion devices globally and ACCESS’ NetFront Browser DTV Profile HbbTV Edition is the most widely deployed HbbTV browser in the market today. The platform-independent solution is optimized for embedded environments, and features a small RAM/ROM footprint, low CPU power consumption, support for H™L5 and is backed by ACCESS’ global support network.

“HbbTV has seen rapid adoption in the last year, and we’re expecting the trend to continue throughout 2011 because the standard enables CE device manufacturers to provide rich broadcast and Internet services with minimum requirements,” said Dr. Neale Foster, VP of Global Sales IA, ACCESS. “Our HbbTV browser gives OEMs, service providers and middleware companies advanced, fully-proven technologies providing them with a quick and easy route to market. We’re delighted that so many of our partners will be demonstrating the benefits of our HbbTV solution and our market leadership by showing their ACCESS-powered HbbTV ready devices at this year’s ANGA Cable.”
