117 thousand pay TV subscribers for Montenegro at end-June

PODGORICA — The Agency for Electronic Media (Agencije za elektronske medije) in Montenegro has released subscriber figures for the six operators (three cable and one each of MMDS, IPTV and DTH) authorised to distribute radio and TV programmes to end users in the country.
As at June 30, 2011, the number of connections for the distribution of radio and TV programmes over the different Cable/MMDS/DTH/IPTV platforms was 116,771, representing 64.69% of households, the remainder being covered by terrestrial TV.

IPTV has the leading position in radio and TV distribution with 38.95% of the market. It is followed by DTH distribution at 28.44% percent and Cable and MMDS with 15.17% and 17.44% respectively.
