Sky Deutschland Selects AuthenTec DRM to Deliver Premium Content to iPadsTuesday, October 18th, 2011
MELBOURNE, Fla. — AuthenTec (NASDAQ: AUTH), a leading provider of security and identity management solutions, today announced that Sky Deutschland, the largest pay-TV provider in Germany and Austria, has chosen AuthenTec’s DRM Fusion™ Downloadable client to deliver premium content services to Apple tablets via its new Sky Go application. Sky Deutschland’s Sky Go service allows mobile users to view programming from multiple Sky channels in Germany and in Austria.
AuthenTec provides DRM content protection to ensure that only Sky Go subscribers have access to the streaming content and to ensure smooth playback on Apple iPads.

Sky Go is available exclusively to Sky customers and the Sky Go application can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store. The Sky Go service offers mobile users the exclusive live streamed channels Sky Sport 1, Sky Sport 2, Sky Sport Austria and Sky FuÃŸball Bundesliga, showing all matches of the first and second football Bundesliga, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the DFB Cup, as well as Formula 1, golf and tennis when connected via Wi-Fi, and even offers the best of these events in stunning HD quality. The exclusive Sky channels Sky Sport 1, Sky Sport 2, and Sky Sport Austria are also available via 3G.

The Agent is available as a downloadable application for Android and Apple phone and tablet users.
