Iceland's Síminn selects AirTies IPTV Set-top Box
Wednesday, March 14th, 2012ISTANBUL, Turkey — AirTies Networks, a leading supplier of advanced technology to the Broadcast and Broadband industry, announced today that it will deliver its Air7120 IP Set-top box to Síminn of Iceland.
AirTies Wireless Networks and Síminn work in tandem to upgrade Síminn’s IPTV service to next generation STBs, offering advanced graphics and HTML5 with the Air7120.
This partnership will create an enhanced experience for current and new Síminn’s subscribers. With the AirTies solution, Síminn will be able to offer subscribers a state of the art High-definition graphical user interface with crisp HD video display for live TV programming, as well as interactive Video on Demand and Time-shift television applications.
The Air 7120 is a market leading compact, multi-format High Definition IP set-top box for Cable, IPTV, WebTV/OTT, Video-On-Demand and Home Media applications. Air7120 complements Síminn’s efforts to develop a fully-functional, high quality TV experience. The Air7120 utilizes an Opera browser, has a powerful and flexible JavaScript engine and simultaneously supports AES and DVB-CSA with Verimatrix Conditional Access System.
