2.09 million pay TV subscribers in Chile at end March 2012

Chile’s Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones (Subtel) has released pay TV statistics to the end of March 2012. From the end of March 2011, satellite subscribers increased from 881,663 to 943,844 (up 7.1%) whereas wired (cable TV and IPTV) subscribers grew from 1.091 million to 1.148 million (up 5.3%), giving a total for the country of 2.092 million, up 6.1% year-on-year.
