ABOX42 shows M12 Smart Set-top Box for KabelKiosk multiscreen

COLOGNE — ABOX42, a leading provider of IPTV & OTT set-top boxes and services, demonstrates at ANGA COM for the first time Eutelsat KabelKiosk’s new multiscreen solution on its innovative ABOX42 M12 Smart set-top box.

The Eutelsat KabelKiosk shows at ANGA COM its advanced hybrid DVB & IP platform. It enables network operators to offer their cable customers as well as their IP customers ready to use TV products with linear and non-linear TV. The determining factor is a new designed multiscreen solution that gives the user the so far in the German market unknown flexibility and variety of running applications on any different fixed and mobile end devices.

With the M12 Smart STB ABOX42 shows as one of the first set-top box partners a compatible end device. M12 end consumers gain access to many interesting functions and content via internet for the first time. Beside Live TV via Internet (OTT & IPTV) current blockbusters via Video On Demand, the TV channels’ HbbTV applications including catch-up TV, a comprehensive EPG and additional local content are amongst others available.

The new platform can be used in the provider’s network via IPTV as well as in the open internet via OTT TV.
