České Radiokomunikace to extend DVB-T2 trial to cover Ultra HD

PRAGUE — České Radiokomunikace, a leading TV and radio broadcasting operator, and telecom and ICT service provider, has been granted frequency allocation by the Czech Telecommunication Office (ČTÚ) for the continuation of its DVB-T2 broadcasting trial.
České Radiokomunikace will work in cooperation with Czech Television to test the new Ultra HD (4K) television format and will also investigate the possibility of interference to DVB-T2 reception from high-speed mobile networks (LTE).
The experimental broadcasting will be carried out from the Žižkov transmitter in Prague with permission for the trial expiring on November 30, 2014.
