HASSELT, Belgium — Zappware, a leading developer of digital TV solutions for pay TV operators, has successfully completed a multi-network & multi-device roll-out for Baltcom, Latvia’s second largest Telecom operator.
Zappware’s end-to-end solution, deployed on both the IPTV network as on OTT networks, has allowed Baltcom to expand its reach to areas not covered by the IPTV network. “We are happy to work together with Zappware and their partners for the future growth of our digital TV services”, says Vojko Rovere, CEO of Baltcom. “We needed a compatible solution for both our IPTV and OTT networks with a fast time-to-market, and found Zappware to excel in both of these requirements”.
Baltcom digital TV customers can use the integrated service on set-top boxes, iOS and Android mobile devices and PCs (Windows/Mac). On all devices, the platform provided by Zappware includes linear TV, Transaction Video-on-Demand (TVOD), CatchupTV, RestartTV and detailed audience analytics. On second screen devices, the platform additionally features cloud-based personal video recording (network PVR), a feature that allows Baltcom subscribers to remotely record their favorite content in the cloud, without the need of local PVR storage.
“With this project we once again show the feature maturity of our Zappware platform.” says Patrick Vos, CEO of Zappware. “We also prove our platform can rapidly be deployed at any type of network configuration”.
Zappware’s end-to-end platform for DVB, IPTV, OTT and hybrid networks will be demonstrated during IBC2014 in Amsterdam, September 12-16 2014. Zappware’s booth will be located in Hall 1, Stand number 1.A81.
