EVIO Polska selects ABOX42 SmartSTB for fibre TV

EVIO selecting ABOX42 SmartSTB platform for its new TV service ‘Telewizja Swiatlowodowa’ based on fiber networks in Poland

ABOX42 GmbH, the leading supplier of IPTV, OTT and Hybrid SmartSTB platforms, today announced that EVIO Polska, a leading Polish Fiber TV service provider, selected the ABOX42 M-Series SmartSTB platform for its new TV service ‘Telewizja Swiatlowodowa’ which will be used by over 100 local fibre-optic networks throughout Poland, delivered together by EVIO and local ISP operators. The new service will offer the highest quality of digital TV in combination with advanced multimedia features.

EVIO is one of the first major service providers to deliver a modern, advanced and future proof IPTV service incl. rich multimedia features as a managed service to fiber operators in Poland. This allows the local networks to provide a complete service offering in order to enhance customer loyalty and secure future growth.

The ABOX42 M-Series SmartSTB platform (Set Top Box Model M15) was selected for this new service because of its unique combination of hardware features and performance, the very mature SDK allowing a set of advanced features, as well as the ABOX42 SaaS Lifecycle Management solution for full control of the Set Top Box deployment in the field in multiple networks.

The ‘Telewizja Swiatlowodowa’ TV service was introduced at an annual congress of fiber pay-TV operators and experts held in Kraków at the end of October and rollout has already started.
