UMC deploys SERAPHIC browser on Sharp TVs for Europe

SERAPHIC’s leading Sraf® HTML5 browser is to be massively deployed in Sharp smart TVs, according to the announcement by UMC, the Sharp license holder and the second largest TV manufacturer in Europe.
SERAPHIC delivers internet-related software and web-based solutions, mostly pre-integrated on all MStar chipsets. Its lightning-fast Sraf® HTML5 browser has proven to be the perfect match for various OTT services including Chili TV, the second-largest VOD provider in Italy with around 400,000 customers and a correspondent market share of 20%. The strong footprint of Sraf Browser in the OTT filed has greatly boosted global TV sales of UMC, deliver more added values to its products and prominently enhance its competitiveness.
