VSE NET chooses Zattoo as the provider of its own modern Multiscreen IPTV schlau.com
ZURICH — The German network operator VSE NET has chosen Zattoo as the provider of its own Multiscreen IPTV service under the brand schlau.com and is ready to launch in December 2016. VSE NET already provides high-speed internet connections and telephone services via its own fiber optic network. With the next-generation IPTV product, VSE NET is on track to successfully extend its existing portfolio and to expand its position in the market.
With the IPTV multiscreen solution from Zattoo, VSE NET has chosen a TV product under its own brand, that is completely hosted and managed by Zattoo. After e.g. M-net, NetCologne and recently EWE TEL, VSE NET is yet another German network operator to make use of the TV platform from Zattoo.
“With the IPTV solution from Zattoo, our private customers will now receive all important communication services from one provider. With attractive product packets consisting of fast internet access, telephone service and IPTV, we will unlock new market potential and be able to put forward our powerful fiber optic network even better,” explains Michael Leidinger, VSE NET’s Managing Director.
VSE NET has decided on a multiscreen approach, i.e. a TV product for all relevant devices in the customers’ households. This enables schlau.com customers to decide themselves where and how they want to enjoy their TV program.
For the introduction of their IPTV product, VSE NET used the DNMG (Deutsche Netzmarketing GmbH) framework contract. The framework contract with the DNMG as the leading association of German network operators makes Zattoo the preferred partner for IPTV for the DNMG members. Gernot Jaeger, the chief officer of B2B TV Solutions at Zattoo adds: “Another DNMG member was able to bring its own state-of-the-art TV product onto the market under its own brand within a few months, without having to invest in complex and expensive IPTV technologies itself.
Depending on the package, more than 100 live TV channels, more than 50 of them in HD, integrated video on demand offers (including the leading German VOD provider Maxdome) and a multitude of pre-installed media library apps are available to private VSE NET customers with the IPTV product under the brand schlau.com on the set-top box. In addition, schlau.com allows channel lists to be synchronized across all devices and recordings can be scheduled on the set-top box by using mobile apps.
The schlau.com set-top box comes from ABOX42, the Germany-based leading provider for innovative set-top box solutions. The ABOX42 set-top box model M20 is market proven and is being used in many different projects world-wide.
Zattoo and ABOX42 together offer all the ingredients necessary for a modern multiscreen IPTV. With the “White Label” product, network operators can bring a complete TV product under their own brand and with their own product structure to market. With the complete operation of the platform and the TV service by Zattoo, network operators benefit from continuous updates and developments.
With more than two million users every month, Zattoo has established itself as the leading IPTV & OTT TV provider in Europe over the last ten years. Zattoo’s B2B customers therefore benefit from a partner, which on one hand knows the needs of TV consumers first hand, and on the other hand, guarantees maximum operating stability with its platform.
