Poland consults regarding mobile TV tender documentation

The President of the Office of Electronic Communications (Urząd Komunikacji Elektronicznej) on April 3, 2008 announced the beginning of consultations regarding the conditions of the tender for frequencies in the 470 – 790 MHz band for mobile radio – communication network.

The consulted project of tender documentation pertains to the tender for reservation of frequencies for 38 channels from the 470 – 790 band in the area of cities of: Wałbrzych, Legnica, Wrocław, Bydgoszcz, Toruń, Włocławek, Lublin, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Zielona Góra, Łódź, Kraków, Tarnów, Płock, Radom, Warszawa, Opole, Rzeszów, Białystok, Gdańsk, Słupsk, Bielsko-Biała, Chorzów, Częstochowa, Katowice, Kielce, Elbląg, Olsztyn, Kalisz, Poznań, Koszalin, Szczecin to be utilized to provide telecommunications services in one-way local area communications networks, in particular for multimedia transmissions, in mobile service on a secondary basis.

The entities interested in presenting their views with regard to the draft of tender documentation are requested to send their views till May 5, 2008 to Urząd Komunikacji Elektronicznej, ul. Kasprzaka 18/20 in Warsaw or in an electronic form to: przetarg470-862@uke.gov.pl
