TRES CANTOS, Spain — SIDSA opens the ‘EnterTV’ DVB-H one-stop-shop for manufacturers of Portable and Mobile TV devices. The company integrates its own IC with the best-in-class third party solutions to provide Portable and Mobile TV device manufacturers with fast time to market.

Enter TV modules and reference designs include silicon tuners from Microtune and NXP as well as DVB-H Middleware and Applications from different companies such as the Player from Nexstreaming, “We are proud to join forces with SIDSA in this leading solution, ensuring the best time-to-market and a high quality video experience”, said Carlos Lucas, General Manager Europe at Nexstreaming.

The Enter TV bundle provides an easy to integrate solution leveraging the processing capabilities of SIDSA’s Enter e1 chipset, which in addition to DVB-H demodulation, performs PSI/SI parsing, ESG parsing, hand-over and program streaming. This reduces the final product development time and the Host processor resources.

“SIDSA’s Enter TV modules are a step in the direction of provisioning a truly portable TV viewing experience using NXP’s multi-band silicon tuner,” said Guy Ducos, General Manager, TV Front-end and Media Interfaces Business, NXP Semiconductors. “The ultra-low power, low noise, small footprint and high immunity to other cellular and connectivity standards, makes the TDA18292 most suitable for SIDSA’s one-stop-shop portable TV solutions.”

SIDSA’s commitment is to provide its customers with a complete and cost-effective solution that allows them to produce excellent quality Portable and Mobile TV devices in a very short time. Moreover Enter TV reference designs will shortly incorporate multi-standard capabilities in addition to DVB-T and DVB-H.
