Thursday, April 18th, 2019Danish telco launches triple-play Home Gateway running SoftAtHome software bringing vDSL fast Internet, full home network control and best quality TV and communication services.
LA GARENNE-COLOMBES, France — SoftAtHome, the digital home technology company, today announced that its software enables TDC’s Danish customers to benefit from gigabit services. TDC has deployed an end-to-end platform compatible with a wide ecosystem of applications, allowing the operator to respond to customer needs in a fast-changing market.
By selecting SoftAtHome, TDC Denmark joins the club of operators (alongside the likes of Orange or Swisscom) to benefit from the power of virtualization and to remain autonomous from hardware manufacturers. An independent software partner lets operators develop flexible roadmaps and achieve faster time-to-market.
TDC’s Danish subscribers now enjoy a much faster Internet connection with two bonded VDSL lines, highest quality TV and uninterrupted communications. The dual-band 4×4 Wi-Fi service ensures the best possible coverage and bandwidth throughout the home as well as SmartHome services. Customers can, for example, manage the quality of their network with their smartphones or tablets and control IoT devices such as sensors, or lights.
TDC’s new gateway has five 1 Gbps Ethernet ports, two VDSL ports, two phone ports, and state-of-the-art dual-band 4×4 Wi-Fi.
“At TDC/YouSee, we aim for a premium market position, offering best-of-class broadband solutions,” said Michael Vig Larsen, head of broadband CPE for TDC/YouSee Denmark. “It has always been our priority to supply our customers with a first-class experience and the highest quality of services in the way they enjoy their broadband services at home. It has been an exciting journey working with SoftAtHome experts.”
David Viret-Lange, CEO of SoftAtHome said “TDC Denmark is a very innovative operator, offering customers advanced services. They understand the importance of being independent from vendors and of keeping control of their service roadmap.”
