Belgacom TV celebrates its third birthday and proposes a new customized football offer
On 28 June 2005, the Belgacom Group (Euronext Brussels: BELG) challenged the traditional television market by offering its customers an exciting new way of watching television and with the objective of breaking the cable TV monopoly.
With Belgacom TV, the Group has demonstrated its credibility and competencies in the media sector. After three years of existence, Belgacom TV acquired no fewer than 349,250 customers (at the end of March 2008) and has become a leading player in the Belgian audio-visual landscape. Belgacom TV offers more than 70 channels in the Classic+ package and over 1,000 on-demand programs.
With its interactive content offer, the advent of high-definition television and the renewal of the football broadcasting contract (Jupiler League), Belgacom TV is poised to pursue the revolution which it started three years ago.
