Bouygues Telecom to launch IPTV in October

According to news agency AFP, Bouygues Telecom (Paris:EN), France’s third mobile operator, will launch its ADSL broadband TV service on October 20th, 2008.
Bouygues will offer “triple play”, allowing subscribers access to unlimited telephone, television and broadband internet via its ‘Bbox‘ system.
The system consists of a router, and an MPEG-4 set-top box with HDD which, according to the blog Giiks.com, a Bouygues Telecom partner site, is manufactured by Thomson (Paris:TMS, NYSE:TMS).
