Russia - 9,000 have applied for AKADO HDTV
Tuesday, September 16th, 2008AKADO (Comcor TV), part of Russia’s Renova Group, started taking orders for HDTV equipment and services on September 1, 2008. The service is planned to start in October.
Currently, AKADO offers more than 100 channels of digital TV as well as DOCSIS-based broadband to more than 800 thousand residents of apartments in Moscow, Zelenograd and Lyubertsah. AKADO’s cable TV set-top boxes are from Humax (ND-1010C).
As of September 16th, Akado had received 9,000 applications for the HD service.
