Jiuzhou and Realtek Launch 4K RDK Video Accelerator Set-Top Box
SHENZHEN, China. — Shenzhen Jiuzhou Electric Co., Ltd., the world’s leading One-Stop Provider of Digital TV Equipment and connected home solutions, and Realtek Semiconductor Corp. (Taiwan Stock Exchange: 2379.TW), the world’s leading network and multimedia IC provider today announced the launch of their newest 4K RDK Video Accelerator set-top box.
Jiuzhou and Realtek are certified members of the RDK Video Accelerator Program and have launched a RDK4.0-based 4K Linux OTT/IPTV set-top box as a cost-effective and fast-to-market joint streaming solution.
This new device can provide a variety of internet TV and other multimedia services including premium OTT apps and niche content into TV viewer experience. It can be customized to meet the needs of operators, supporting IPTV/OTT services, including UHD & HDR, to provide ultra-high quality video experience for viewers. This device is powered with the Realtek RTD1319 chipset with 2GB DDR4 + 8GB eMMC, supporting 802.11b/g/n/ac 2.4G&5GHz 2T2R WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 with BLE, and Voice Searching via RCU.
