TV5 QUÉBEC CANADA Chooses DOTSCREEN to develop its new Roku application

PARIS, France –– DOTSCREEN, the multiscreen video applications & UI development specialist, today announced the release of the new TV5Unis application on Roku, the streaming service of TV5 QUÉBEC CANADA.

DOTSCREEN has been working on bringing TV5’s current product offering, available on web, mobile and select big screen devices, to the Roku platform, the number 1 streaming platform in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

The application offers a variety of ad supported content from all major public broadcasters of French speaking countries and well known studios around the world. Users can create an account for free which enables them to access their favorite shows or pickup watching their favorite series on the big screen without needing to cast or mirror from their mobile phones.

The TV5Unis app on Roku offers a state-of-the-art user interface which enables users to quickly easily discover content, including portals for each of TV5’s brands. The app is available on all Roku streaming devices and Roku Smart TVs. Taking advantage of all of the latest features available on Roku, the app boasts features such as voice commands, speech-to-text user login and search capabilities, and high-quality video playback from Roku’s video player.

TV5Unis offers a wide selection of shows, movies and documentaries, broadcasting over 2,000 hours of the best worldwide French language programs, all accessible for free. TV5 QUÉBEC CANADA is a premier entertainment provider that contributes to the outreach of French-language artists and producers throughout Canada and providing Canadians with programming and audiovisual content that enriches the country’s Francophone television landscape and reflects the cultural vitality and diversity of the Canadian and international Francophonie.
