RAI begins transition of DTT to DVB-T2

Radiotelevisione italiana (RAI) has announced that it began the transition to DVB-T2 television transmission on August 28, 2024.
Rai Storia, Rai Scuola and Rai Radio 2 Visual channels have moved to the newer standard, while Rai 1 HD, Rai 2 HD and Rai 3 HD nazionale, Rai 4HD, Rai News 24 HD and Rai Premium HD channels will be broadcast in high definition in DVB-T2, and also simulcast in DVB-T.
No date has been fixed for when the entire Italian television system will adopt DVB-T2.
