Ziggo Half year statement
Thursday, October 9th, 2008Ziggo’s Recurring Profit before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased by € 32.3 million (10.5%) in the first half of 2008 to € 339.5 million (from € 307.2 million in the second half of 2007). The increase is entirely attributable to the commercial operation and to realized savings and
synergies. The increase in the number of subscriptions results in a € 31.1 million (5%) increase in revenue to the total of € 614.3 million. Operating expenses remained at the same level, compared to the first half year of 2007.
Digital Television
In the first half of 2008 the market for digital television grew fast and resulted in an increase of 161,000 customers for a total base of 995,000.
