MTC and Cidana to Bring Video Decoding SDK for LimePC™ Multimedia

BEIJING & SHENZHEN, China — MTC, Cidana Corporation and Freescale Semiconductor announced today that they have reached an agreement to jointly produce a Software Development Kit (“SDK”), allowing highly optimized video decoding on the popular Freescale MPC5121e processor. MTC will utilize the development to enhance its LimePC™ product to include high quality of multimedia playback and CMMB broadcast receiving applications for the small portable market.
Shenzhen MTC, (“Shenzhen Tongfang Multimedia Technologies Co. Ltd.”), part of the Tsinghua Tongfang Group, which also owns the well known Qinqhua Tongfang (“THTF”) brand, has focused on its LimePC™ series of simple, lightweight mini notebook computers, which have a low-power mobile GT core from Freescale, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, and touch screen displays. Cidana is a provider of embedded and mobile multimedia solutions, including software, codecs and complete mobile multimedia applications, supporting various worldwide digital television standards.
