Microtune Showcases Cable, iDTV and Automotive RF Solutions at CCBN International Trade Show in Beijing

Microtune’s Cost-Optimized, Standards-Based Products Enable Chinese Manufacturers to Develop Latest Consumer and Automotive Electronics for Expanding Digital Entertainment Markets in Asia

BEIJING & PLANO, Texas — Reinforcing its support for global customers across its targeted cable, digital TV and automotive-entertainment markets, Microtune®, Inc. (NASDAQ: TUNE) today announced that it is exhibiting its newest radio frequency (RF) silicon technology in its booth (Hall 3, 3105) at the 17th annual China Content Broadcasting Network (CCBN) trade show.

Held March 21-23, 2009 at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing, CCBN is China’s only international exhibit of broadcast, cable and satellite technology/equipment and one of the world’s largest trade shows in the digital television (DTV) and broadband network industries.

Microtune’s radio frequency (RF) silicon tuner and amplifier products enable Chinese manufacturers to develop cost-effective, high-performing digital cable and TV end products that leverage the country’s major infrastructure transition to digital technologies and transmission standards. Microtune will also be displaying its silicon RF technology for automotive entertainment, including its recently announced MicroTuner MT2067 tuner for in-car digital broadcast TV.

A variety of RF products, including standards-based tuner chips, evaluation boards and complete turnkey reference designs, will be showcased in Microtune’s booth, including

  • Low-cost front-end solutions for the DVB-C digital cable market;
  • Future-ready DOCSIS 3.0 cable RF gateway solutions;
  • Low-cost, turnkey front-end solutions for the iDTV market;
  • State-of-the-art RF integrated circuit technology for in-car TV entertainment and antenna amplifiers.
