RENNES, France — TeamCast announces the presentation of a live end-to-end DVB-T2 transmission solution at IBC 2009, on its stand 2.B51.

From the DVB-T2 Gateway to the professional reference Demodulator, TeamCast’s global solution is ready for both in-field experiments and first commercial deployments of HD services, using the 2nd generation of the digital TV terrestrial transmission standard.

Relying on powerful and scalable platforms, the solution already implements single frequency network (SFN) operation and is ready for future enhancements, such as `MISO’ and `Multi PLP’ modes. The demonstration exhibits a third-party T2 Gateway, the Power4-T2 Modulator and the Dmod4-T2 professional receiver with measurement capabilities.

Further to these leading-edge products, TeamCast brings its deep knowledge of the T2 specification – gained through its major contributions to the definition of this standard. TeamCast also has world-leading expertise and experience in solutions for SFN operations, built up from the original SFN experiments with first generation DVB-T systems.

“DVB-T2 is a new and promising technology which will be deployed in pilot projects worldwide, and will require real network level testing and comparisons with first generation systems. As an active member of the DVB-T2 ecosystem, we wanted to provide our customers with a ready-to-use, powerful, and future-proof solution, while sharing with them our expertise in SFN implementation”, says Eric PINSON, Broadcast Product Manager at TeamCast. “We are pleased to see that our solution has already been adopted by major transmission operators in Europe, for deployment in their pilot trials.”
