ER-Telecom ends 2009 with 973,000 cable TV subscribers

MOSCOW — Russian telecom holding ER-Telecom has reviewed its performance in 2009 on the basis of the current IFRS reports. ER-Telecom revenues for 2009 reached RUB 4.7 billion, up 61% as compared to 2008.
Key operating statistics
As of January 1, 2010, the total number of the Company’s subscribers totaled 2,012 thousand, up 31% as compared to 2008.
The number of cable TV users for the whole year 2009 reached 973 thousand, or 10% higher as compared to 2008.
The number of internet users increased by 62% to 969 thousand.
Over 70 thousand subscribers use fixed-line telephony, a 25% growth as compared to the previous year.
Full-year 2009 revenues from broadband internet totaled RUB 2,842 million net of VAT (61% of total revenues), from cable TV – RUB 1,582 million net of VAT (34% of total revenues), from telephony – RUB 242 million net of VAT (about 5% of total revenues), from other services – RUB 4,502 thousand net of VAT (less than 1% of total revenues).
The average monthly revenues per user in 2009 amounted to RUB 259, including 18% VAT, or up 51% as compared to 2008.
